Fouredge participated in the Företagstrofén 2026 tournament, a great day filled with team spirit, networking, and football. Together with other companies, players, and supporters, we helped make it a well-organized event that offered both camaraderie and exciting matches. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet outside of the everyday work environment and strengthen relationships in a relaxed setting.
Unfortunately, we did not manage to win any of our matches, despite the tournament starting in the best possible way with a goal straight from kick-off in our opening game. After that start, many probably thought that Fouredge had discovered football's next great goal scorer, but the rest of the day proved that football is played over 25 minutes, not 15 seconds.
Gaffer Adam Nilsson is nevertheless pleased with Fouredge's debut on the football pitch.
"The guys showed real heart, we stuck to the game plan, and at times our 3-2-1 formation looked quite promising. We tried to work with a compact midfield, quick transitions, and a high press, but occasionally the distances between the lines became a bit too large. At this level, the margins are very small."
Adam also noted that the team took several important steps throughout the day.
"We grew into the tournament, gained better control of the central areas, and created a few half-chances. Now it's about analyzing the performance, taking the positives with us, and continuing to build on what we've started. The results didn't come today, but the process is moving in the right direction."
The dressing room is united in the belief that the team deserved more, that the ball bounced the wrong way a few times, and that the opposition were simply more clinical in front of goal. Attention is already turning to the next tournament, where Fouredge hopes to convert possession, kilometres covered, and great team spirit into points on the scoreboard.
As always: we take one game at a time, stick to the fundamentals, and let the table do the talking when the season is over. ⚽😄
